The Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Center

What Makes Our Physical Therapist Special?

May 30, 2024

If you are considering trying physical therapy at The Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Center to recuperate after surgery, recover from an injury, achieve optimal fitness, improve balance and mobility, manage pain from conditions like arthritis, or boost your athletic performance, you may be wondering about our background. Well, today we’d like to explain the training and expertise we’ve received to become the god standard in our field.

Each physical therapist is required to complete a bachelor’s degree before embarking on a three-year postgraduate program to receive a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree. This requires receiving classroom and hands-on experience in anatomy and physiology, the body’s complex musculoskeletal and neurological systems, exercise science and therapeutic interventions, and clinical reasoning and diagnosis.

Physical therapists also incorporate training in cardiopulmonary, neurological and orthopedic rehabilitation. Because science and technology are always changing, we dedicate ourselves to continually updating our knowledge about the latest evidence-based practices and advancements in our field.

We likewise update the treatment methods and equipment available at our state-of-the-art facility so that our clients can take advantage of cutting-edge upgrades in healing and strengthening practices. We combine the best of what’s new with time-tested, hands-on therapy that is geared specifically to each client’s personal needs. Furthermore, we develop a customized treatment program for each client, and closely monitor their progress so that we can make adjustments as needed.

Of course, our commitment goes far beyond our licensing requirements and experience. At The Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Center we are passionate about our mission to improve the health and quality of life for each person who comes to us, no matter their age or fitness level. The quality of care, guidance and  encouragement you’ll receive at our facility sets us apart from other practices. You’ll feel the difference from the moment you arrive for your initial evaluation, right through to your last visit. If you have questions or would like to schedule a consultation, please contact us today!
