Dr. Bekampis is a New Jersey native, born and raised in Monmouth County. After graduating from Ocean Township High School, he went on to complete his undergraduate studies at Rutgers University and medical school at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine. He then completed internship training at Jersey Shore University Medical Center followed by residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at Rusk Rehabilitation/NYU Langone Health.
As a PM&R specialist or “physiatrist,” Dr. Bekampis focuses on diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions, with a goal of improving function and quality of life through non-surgical means. Treatments provided include physical modalities, orthotics, medications, and office-based procedures. His clinical interests include electrodiagnostic medicine, musculoskeletal ultrasound and medical acupuncture.
In his spare time, Dr. Bekampis enjoys cycling, hiking, music, travel, videography/video editing and spending time with friends and family.
